Product Details and Features
This lightweight design with the HP Imprint finish in super-matte charcoal gray is great for on-the-go computing. The HP Mini 210-4150NR is powered by an Intel Atom N2600 1.6 GHz dual core processor that works in conjunction with 1 GB of DDR3 memory. Stored on the massive 320 GB hard drive is a 32-bit version of Windows Starter, giving you access to virtually any basic task. The 10.1-inch WSVGA BrightView LED screen displays plenty of vibrant colors and operates in 1024×600 resolution. The device has a net weight of three pounds and includes a 93%-of-full-size keyboard, which makes typing much easier than on other netbooks.
Connectivity is simple, with Ethernet and SD/MMC slots available on the unit (as well as 802.11b/g/n wireless compatibility). Included on this unit are three USB 2.0 ports and a VGA port, which makes file sharing and multimedia export easy and quick. Included in its design is the Kensington MicroSaver lock slot, giving your netbook the ability to be secure and inaccessible by thieves and prying eyes.
Pros
This netbook comes complete with the new Intel Atom N2600 dual core processor (1.6GHz) which offers essential performance. This processor has much more capability than the previous version of Atom processors and includes a revised GMA 3600 graphics unit that doubles graphic performance. The massive size of the hard drive in this unit is a blessing and usually cannot be found in such a modestly priced netbook. The 6-cell lithium ion battery keeps this netbook alive for up to eleven hours of continuous use, while the Beats Audio sound system gives you better than expected sound quality.
Cons
There are a few drawbacks to the HP Mini 210-4150NR, but nothing that makes it critically flawed. It would have been nice to have seen at least one of the three USB ports be USB 3.0-compatible. Running a starter edition of Windows is standard on many netbooks but definitely a disappointment when it comes to having access to the entire Windows/Microsoft experience. There is also only 1GB or RAM that is not upgradable.
Conclusion
Priced at approximately $320, the HP Mini is a great deal and has plenty of power as-is to perform in the real world. While the netbook lacks some features when compared to a full-fledged laptop, it is well-accommodated for a unit of its price and will leave plenty of individuals – travelers, businessmen and on-the-go types alike – feeling satisfied with its use. If you are looking for a mid-range portable unit through which to check e-mail, watch movies, browse the web and do pretty much anything else except gaming, then the HP Mini 210-4150NR makes a great purchase and will continue to be a solid performer for you.

Just a quick note.I have this netbook and it does support 2gb RAM.I upgraded as soon as I got it.
Hi mark ,Thankyou for sharing that information. Do you mind sharing what brand 2gb did you purchase for your netbook and also were you able to do it without up grading to win 7 home premium
Hi Mark, Thank you for your useful information.
If you can upgrade the RAM to 2 GB, this means the specification in datasheet is incorrect.

I’m still puzzled about the RAM. I just called HP and they said it definitely doesn’t support 2GB, as that’s how their engineers designed it. Then again, I did get the sense he was just reading from a script. When you go through the customization wizard on HP’s site, there’s a 2GB option, but it requires you to upgrade to Win7 Home Premium. I have a 2-year-old Asus with Win7 Starter that has no trouble supporting 2GB.
Any idea what HP is up to here? Are they just trying to force us to buy more expensive laptops? Because if so, they’re just forcing me not to buy HP.
