Features

The IdeaPad S10-3t is a multitouch convertible tablet that functions equally well as a netbook or a tablet, with its 180 swivel screen and ultra-slim design under an inch thick. With the Lenovo NaturalTouch Panel, the S10-3t responds to the lightest of touches, making it fun and easy to use the range of NaturalTouch multimedia touch-optimized applications.

The basics

To begin with, it comes with a rotating screen that can maneuver a full 180 degrees – and that still produces one of the best resolutions we’ve seen in a long time. In addition, the IdeaPad has 250 GB of storage and uses Atom processing technology to power it all. It comes with a range of features, including Dolby sound, USB connection options, the Lenovo NaturalTouch pad, and a technology called DirectShare that enables you to easily connect to other wireless netbooks in the area. Obviously, the latter capability is something that will be of interest to any business in which the employees need to collaborate on documents and other created files.

The new ThinkPad

Anyone familiar with the old ThinkPad is more than familiar with the makers of the Lenovo. And let’s face it: the real excitement of this netbook is not found in its specifications or features. It’s the high tech goodies that capture the imagination. Take, for example, the One Key Rescue. An innovative solution to a common problem, One Key enables you to quickly and efficiently recover any files you have lost as a result of virus or accident. There’s also the Quick Start option that avoids the actual operating system and directly boots you to the internet! Now, that’s quick access.

Whose face is that?

Te real reason you’ll love this netbook, though, is in the most fun feature of all: VeriFace recognition software that uses a camera to match your facial features against the image on file before it will allow you access to the system. That’s right – you’ve seen it in the movies, and can now have it in your own netbook – for only slightly more than $400.

Is it all necessary? Most definitely not! But the fact is that most netbook users have these units as a secondary computer and something to play with on the road.
