Samsung N220-11 10.1-inch Netbook

The Samsung N220 series has the basic Windows Starter 7 operating system. It has the Intel Atom N450 processor and the Mobile Intel NM10 Express Chipset. The N220 series boats 1 GB of screaming RAM, a 250 GB hard drive, a 10.1 inch WSVGA LED back-lit screen with a matte finish with 1024×600 resolution. It comes with high-definition sound with microphone noise suppression and 3 stereo speakers, built in web camera and a Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection. This particular Samsung series does not have Bluetooth capabilities. But it does have 3 USB and a VGA port, microphone and headphone port and an RJ45 LAN port.

The N220-11’s are ultra thin and ultra stylish, fashionable as well as functional. This particular series features the pointillism pattern design. It is a finished polished of rich, gorgoues color with a trim sideline of chrome detail.

The matte finish resulting in an anti-glare display is one of the best features of the Samsung netbooks. The images, graphics and movies are brighter even in bright light. An LED display uses less power making the N220 series energy friendly and efficient.

An up to 10 hour battery life, the N220 series will keep you working after the others have quit for the day. 10 hours of unplugged time means you can work anywhere despite a shortage of plugs. A long flight or train ride can still be productive with the N220 series.

The N220 series does not waste time powering up and you will waste no time starting your work each day with an amazing 3 second start. An advanced sleep mode allows the N220 series to back up data onto HDD and memory. In case of unexpected power failure, your battery runs out of juice or you are pulled away from your computer for a while; all your contents and work will be waiting just as you left them once you restart your netbook.

The matte finish on the display adds a few extra dollars to the cost of this series of netbooks making this netbook slightly higher in price than comparable netbooks. If glare is a problem for you, a matte finish is well worth the extra cost. Otherwise, this series of netbooks score high marks from its users especially the extended battery life. With people working in places other than a traditional office, longer battery life is a definite help when electrical outlets are not an option.
